| All guest rooms and suites have been designed and decorated to reflect the grace of a glorious past and have been updated with contemporary conveniences. The rooms are all large in size. The luxurious large lobby is elegantly appointed with majestic covered ceilings and opulent French antiques. The lobby features grand marble pillars and huge crystal chandeliers. The hotel is centrally located in the Back Bay on historic Copley Square and only steps away from Beacon Hill, the Charles River Esplanade, the renowned boutiques of Newbury Street and the Hynes Convention Center. The hotel is a traditional 7 storey building opened in 1912. Much of the classical architecture and decor have been preserved, including the famous back-to-back "P" monogram. There is the hotel's award winning restaurant which offers the finest steaks, chops and seafood in a magnificently restored antique setting. A bistro-style restaurant serves fresh seafood and New England classics.
